Random Music Thoughts

Right. Without context or examples, it is just revision for the sake of saving face, and then returning to the same old poisoned well.

Like I said, I feel like an angry commenter. Maybe I'll go yell at a cloud. :shakesfist:

Dang it, it's 90 degrees outside and a perfectly blue sky overhead. Can a wildfire be far behind?

I'll trade you daily thunder and lightning for a few wildfires.

Daily thunder and lightning? Pfft. Those cause a handful of the wildfires up in the Sierras.

It's likely the humidity in Florida that prevents wildfires. Plus, a lot of lightning hits the Gulf.

Why anyone would want wildfires nearby is beyond me. Even if they don't cause immediate damage to you, they stink, drop ash, and make breathing hazardous. Think of all the cute animals!

Oh, I was thinking of two wildfires a year for daily thunder and lightning for 4 months. Seemed like a fair trade. ;)

Gotcha. I still don't have change for your dollar.

Of course, bringing this back to music/audio, a wildfire won't disrupt electricity by causing a spike, as would a lightning strike. It will cut off your electricity completely, however, force you to evacuate, and then burn down your home, just for spite. :duel:

That's a hell of an advertisement and endorsement for California!

The Best Albums of the Decade!.....well, the last decade

https://web.archive.org/web/20091108000844/http://blog.rhapsody.com/2009/11/rockdecade.html

Was on Wiki with the Sharon Jones album and saw a link to an old Rhapsody music block for 2009 naming the "Top 25" of the 2000s
100 Days, 100 Nights came in 7th so I was intrigued.

Obviously 9 yrs later, many of the "usual suspects" are still esteemed today - Kid A, White Blood Cells, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot
And hey! Sharon Jones, Amy Winehouse, and Brandi Carlisle are up there as well as Southern Rock Opera

Green Day's American Idiot is #3 - hey, I love it, but kind of high critically. But can anyone trust a top-anything list with Nickelback eking in. Still, though I've never been known for my broad range of 21st century music ;) I was surprised I was completely unfamiliar with the #2 album Andrew W.K.'s I Get Wet. Even allmusic gives it :4.5: (hey, first use of stars on this site) with a review stating:

Obliterating the concept of guilty musical pleasures, I Get Wet turns hair metal hedonism, punk energy, and pop melodies into an instant, insistent blast of fun with all the power of a beer commercial... Refreshingly simple and cleverly stupid, I Get Wet is a great big bear hug of an album, and resistance to its hard-partying charms is futile.

How have I missed this one? Was it any good?
