Cool cover mimicking an old book - didn't know about this concept collection by Andy Partridge. Just read up about it. Some interesting listening there, Pops

As for me:
Bruce Springsteen - The Christic Shows 1990

220px-Springsteenchristic.jpg

In the hiatus between Tunnel of Love and his dual solo albums in 1992, Springsteen broke up the E-street band, moved to L.A., got a divorce, and had a kid with backup singer (and future Mrs. Patty Scialfa). He decided to do these acoustic shows at The Shrine in L.A. for the public institute law firm Christ Institute. With guitar and piano, Bruce nicely asks the crowd to not clap and not cheer too loudly during songs as it might "mess me up", trying to find a new medium between the personal Bruce of Nebraska and the mega-artist he had become. He's in great voice (well, as good as Bruce can get ;)) as he performs acoustic versions of his standards, returns to songs off Nebraska (an album that didn't have a tour though he played songs acoustic on the Born in the USA tour), and introduces songs that would eventually appear on the oft-maligned Human Touch two years later. (many fans prefer these versions to the eventual studio versions). Old friends Jackson Browne and Bonnie Raitt pop up at the end to do two songs with Bruce including a version of "Highway 61 Revisited".

Various Artists - Newport Jazz Festival (2017)

Spotify has created a cool playlist for the artists performing at this year's Newport Jazz Festival. It includes 49 songs from 49 artists and runs more than 5 hours.
