Arthur Fiedler/Boston Pops Orchestra - A Christmas Festival

I seem to recall when younger, one could always find by flipping through the channels on Christmas Eve a show of orchestral or chorale music - Boston Pops, Mormon Tabernacle Choir, Lincoln Center, etc. For the past few years, I find myself during a quiet moment on Dec 24 at night always searching the channels for such a show to hear a orchestra play "Sleigh Ride" or a chorus sing some hymns. Ya can't find 'em any more (but I guarantee some gruesome episode of Law and Order SVU will be on - ugh). Call it my old man rant of the day. Especially in 2020, I find myself wistful for the past. Was the past so idyllic - hell no. But ya know - this year, yeah I take most other years.

There are cable channels that supply that fare. Of course, you cannot see it played live.

I'll need to listen to this again. I turned the volume down so low for the noise part that I missed the quieter parts, especially since one RYM reviewer said this:

Having now listened to it about four or five times, I have moved it into my non-classic Jazz section.
