Ray Bonneville - Goin' By Feel

A smooth, gentle folksy blues album. Nice, easy listening to keep me from getting restless while working at home, looking out the window wishing I was doing anything else in the world.

But honestly, after reading the past few pages, I want to listen to some Bowie, John Cale and that Lorde album.

Deniece Williams - This Is Niecy (1976)

Why does this sound so great? Well first, there's that beautiful voice. Next, Maurice White co-produced and co-wrote the music. Finally, the EWF band was the band on the album. How could this go wrong? The short answer is: It didn't. It went very very right.

And then on to modern... dance-pop? This isn't my typical turf, but I enjoyed it very much. I'm curious who arranged and produced it. It's interesting.

Lorde - Melodrama

Edit: Thanks to Allmusic.com... "and Melodrama feels different musically too, thanks in part to Lorde's decision to collaborate with Jack Antonoff, the leader of Fun. and Bleachers"
