Ever wonder what a contra-alto clarinet, electric guitar, two tenor saxes, and an off-kilter drummer sound like? Find out here, where Goldberg mostly plays the part normally played by an upright bass. Kool kooky stuff.

it's Goldberg's writing that makes this album more than the sum of its parts. The horns are soulful, the grooves are solid, and Nels adds just the right counterpoint even when he's getting crazy, and everyone gets some nice solo space. ... Unfold Ordinary Mind is a real winner

I love Cantaloupe Island. The rest is a bit hard for me to follow. I expect if I were a musician I'd have a different take on it.

Actually listening to the Deluxe Edition, which includes the live tracks at St. Pancras Church with only Houck and Jo Schornikow on piano and vocals. I really enjoy the stripped-down sound with her wonderful piano and haunting background vocals.

That's what I listened to, yesterday.

The whole concert at San Pancras Church reminded me quite a bit of Damien Rice with Lisa Hannigan Live from the Union Chapel in concept and execution, although a different style.
