Christian McBride - Live At Tonic (2006) disc 2 of 3

This 3-CD set is broken down where McBride plays with a different band on each disc. This one has him with Charlie Hunter on guitar, Jason Moran on piano and keys, Jenny Schienman on violin. The third disc alter the players and adds a turntablist and beatboxer. The first disc is a traditional Jazz quartet setting with Ron Blake on tenor sax.

I would be likely to forego the third disc, but that's just me, I guess.

Phosphorescent – Here’s To Taking It Easy

This.

Does the second song "Nothing was Stolen (Love Me Foolishly)" remind others of "You Can't Always Get What You Want"?

(With apologies to Zeeba for the parenthetical title text. I will put these parenthetical remarks in parentheses for emphases.)

I didn't pick up on that. But when I listened to it again, the beginning reminded me of Mumford & Sons' I Will Wait if it were an unplugged version.

It may have been the tack piano rhythm or honky-tonk feel of the song.

But, at least Nick agrees with me. No amount of money can compensate for that.

Antonio Carlos Jobim ~ Harold Robbins Presents Music of Antonio Carlos Jobim: The Adventurers (1970) [Arranged by Quincy Jones; Performed by Ray Brown Orchestra]

ETA: "Coming and Going" could well be one of those tunes that is NSFW (as Zeeba might rush to turn down the volume.)

The Pinky Performers - Pinky Record No. 1 (196?)

No, not The Pookie Players. It's The Pinky Performers.

Trunk Records sez:

This was the first ever Japanese "pinky" album - hence the title "Pinky 1". These records were sold in Japanese adult shops, and feature Japanese ladies making erotic and exotic noises over light orchestral music, jazz and all sorts. This is quite brilliant and it's unlikely you will hear another. Not that you'd want to.
