Bruce Springsteen - The Roxy, West Hollywood, CA July 7, 1978

Was so excited when this was released this month. I had a bootleg of this concert in college. Sounds great. Prime era Bruce right after the release of Darkness on The Edge of Town. Includes a powerful pre-River version of "Point Blank" with different lyrics, Covers of "Mona" and "Rave On", plus the great '78 piano intro to "Prove It All Night". May be the best live concert he's released yet in the bootleg series

The Association - Birthday (1968)

I used to see scads of this LP in the cutout bins at my local Alpha Beta Market. That scared me away but this is actually a fine latter day sunshine pop record. By the time they made this fourth album, The Association had developed some songwriting chops to go along with their superb harmonies.
