The Beatles - Let It Be (1970)

After listening to Camila Cabello yesterday, I had to go back to the queen of Cuban American pop. Allmusic.com rates this as her best album of recent years. Despite the fact I don't understand Spanish, I enjoy it. I inherited a love of Latin rhythms from my dad, a Czechoslovakian. Go figure.

Gloria Estefan - 90 Millas

From the Allmusic review: "It's an impressive lineup of musicians; for instance, the album's lead single, "No Llores," alone boasts Carlos Santana on electric guitar, José Feliciano on acoustic guitar, Sal Cuevas on bass, Sheila E. on timbales, and Luis Enrique on congos and bongos."

Holy cow.

I mean, with Jose Feliciano, you got no complaints

The Andrews Brothers - 1954-1957 (Warped 2018)

No, these are not the lost siblings of Patty, Maxine and Laverne. Bob and J.C. Andrews were an Alabama-born brother duo along the lines of the Louvins and the Yorks. MGM Records, the home of fellow Alabamian Hank Williams, cut six sessions in Nashville on the Andrewses but never hit paydirt. Too bad, because these hard country sides reveal fine singers performing a strong collection of songs from the likes of Ira Louvin and the Bryants. Their use of banjo from none other than Roy Clark lends them a distinctive uptempo flavor. This new release from Warped Records includes their complete works.
