You've heard of J-Pop and K-Pop? Here's I-Pop from scenic Indonesia.

Chris Spheeris ~ Pathways to Surrender (1988)

One of the New Age albums that I come back to with some frequency. Some might consider it languid or easy listening, but they'd be wrong.

Allmusic Review:
On Pathways Spheeris takes us through pieces that are distinctly Greek, electric, choral and ethereal, finishing off this heartfelt, romantic album with graceful sounds that allow one to drift off in a new feeling of completion, a true "rite of passage" toward an unnamed peace. For an album that has lasting appeal and depth of expression which invites intimate, serious exploration, Pathways to Surrender offers a vocal and instrumental mix which are a perfect match, as he excels on guitar, keyboards and emotional expression.

Lesley Miller - (You've Got A Way Of) Bringin' Out My Tears (Cat King Cole comp. 2007)

Nice teen heartbreak pop (from the 60's), neatly splitting the difference between Lesley Gore and Jody Miller. But why (did they) use parentheses so indiscriminately (in the song titles)?

:3.0: (on the Sam-O-Meter)

Who's this Cat King Cole feller?

I’ve been working my way through their colorful discography, enjoying every moment. Looking forward to this one! Thanks for the tip, Unsom!

This was the first album by them I've heard. I was surprised by the quality. Usually, I would've at least heard of a band playing on this level. They are as good as Los Lobos (in some ways better) .
